Club History

The youngest of Lubbock's three Rotary Clubs, the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Lubbock was chartered March 29, 1985. Throughout the club's life, Metro has supported a wide range of community and global projects with both funding and hands-on service. The club's signature, original-and-continuing project is driving two routes weekly for Lubbock Meals on Wheels. Several different fundraisers over the years have provided funds for projects: a Business Sports Competition Weekend, Scavenger Hunt Road Rally, the Apple Butter Festival, and Oktoberfest.
