Ready to Become a Member?

Membership of a Rotary club is something granted to those willing to commit to assisting in their local communities, in addition to the global community.  If you are ready to join other like minded individuals in accomplishing these goals get in touch with our club to begin the membership process.

Attend At Least Three Club Meetings

All prospective members are required to attend a minimum of three Metro Rotary club meetings.  This is so that you would have the opportunity to engage our members and see if there is a mutual fit.

Connect with a Sponsor

If you were invited to attend club meetings by an active member, this person will become your sponsor.  Your sponsor is someone who will connect you to other members in the club and help you formally apply.  If you attended meetings without an invitation from a member, the club will connect you with one.

Schedule a Club Orientation

Your sponsor will connect you with the Membership Chair to arrange a club orientation.  Metro purposely conducts an orientation so that prospective members are fully aware of what a commitment to Rotary and the Metro club involves.  This also gives you ample opportunity to ask questions about all aspects of Rotary life.

Submit Membership Application

After orientation, your sponsor will provide you with the Membership Application.  Once completed, your sponsor will submit it to the club Secretary or President.

Board Approval and Formal Induction

Your application will be presented to the club board for approval. Upon approval from the board, information about your application will be published to club members.  If no objections are raised within a seven-day period, you become a member of Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary Club, and you will be formally inducted at a club meeting.
