District Governor 2021/22: Nominations are being called for the position of D9930 District Governor for the Rotary year 2021/22 and close on 28 February 2019.  The selection process will occur in April this year. The policy for nomination of District Governor in D9930 is set out in the District Constitution and Bylaws (available on the District Website) and requires clubs to propose Rotarians to the District Nominating Committee. Nominations must be submitted on the approved form available on the RI website, or from the secretary Bev Maul-Rogers
 
Annual Rotary Youth Exchange: It is now time to promote and prospect for eligible 16/17½ year olds who would like to experience a year overseas as a Rotary Exchange Student with their exchange year commencing in January 2020.  District Selection Day for Rotary Youth Exchange is 11 May 2019 with applications closing on 12 April. Please have a chat to Youth Director Ian Grant if you know of a candidate who may be suitable.
 
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA): Do you know young people in your community who are showing leadership potential or skills in their work or lives? The Rotary Youth Leadership Award is an international programme designed to develop leadership skills in young people. Applications for RYLA 2019 are now open. The course is limited to the first 45 awardees.  The 2019 RYLA programme is open to participants aged 20-26 years. The programme this year will be run at Epworth Lodge, Karapiro from April 13 – 18. Applications close on 28 February. Please see Youth Director Greg Gascoigne if you know of a suitable candidate.
