When is the Rockport Film Festival?
The Rockport Film Festival is always the first weekend in November, when Texas days are still warm but Texas nights are cool. It all kicks off with a Red Carpet Event the Thursday before the festival, and films screen Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
In 2018, the festival will be November 1-4.
What kind of films screen at the Rockport Film Festival?
We have six categories of films:
1. Documentary Feature
2. Fiction Feature
3. Documentary Short
4. Fiction Short
5. Animated Short
6. Student Film
Five of the films will be full-length features. There will be four short film blocks, around 90 minutes long and consisting of six to eight short films.
We showcase films from across the globe! Although it varies every year, in 2017, 30% of our films are international, 30% were from Texas, and the rest came from across the country.
