Fine Master:  Once again we were blessed with fair, benevolent, fun, respected and appreciated Fine Master.  He started off with $1 fines if not wearing your Rotary pin or equivalent, if your favorite NFL team won, if you don’t have a favorite NFL team, no tie.  Rick soul patch or shaving malfunction?  Pati for crying she is never fined, Marlene for the passive aggressive remark and an undisclosed adventure, Jim B for the last second hand off of Fine Master duty to Tim, Laurie for Ducks game (she did not know the results! Oh the humanity!), Linda had a phone ring which sounded like a dollar flying out of her grip to the clubs collection box.  There were others lost in the moment of doing double duty.

Program:  ADG Bill Gorman introduced DG Bill Robson who proceeded to thank and acknowledge WCNR works and projects.  He informed us he see’s his job is to represent the Clubs in District 5050, he is not a Club member but is an officer of RI, the Rotarians in the Clubs makes Rotary work.
1) Membership is very important, on the rise in North America.
He recognized Marlene for recruiting a new member.
2)WCNR since it was chartered in 1973 has donated to Rotary Foundation $350,000, currently 19 Paul Harris members, 2 Benefactors, 1 major donor.  He then presented a PH +7 to Jake for over $8000 US in donations to RI.  He is in awe of WCNR.
3) He then donned his Captain Hat.  The District Conference 2016 will be held at Semiahamoo Resorts 4/28 – 5/1.  The featured speaker will be Dee Ross who will be a 2016 Rotary Director, one of 17, 1st from the northwest of Canada and US.  She was born in South Africa, was on Dr Christian Barnard surgical team for the worlds first heart transplant.  It will be FUN!
Polio Plus: Nigeria was declared to be not endemic, so only Afghanistan and Pakistan are left and the whole world has both been 6 weeks without wild polio reported, and that is the incubation period for wild polio!  It takes at least 3 years to declare but its possible that in 2019 or 2020 we may have eradicated polio from the face of the Earth.
He then recognized Sharon, Juli and Marlene as World Class Rotarians.
DRAWING: Greg won a spectacular bouquet of dahlias from Pati’s garden.  Rick drew the 6 of clubs, the pot grows.
