The June 25th meeting will be at Hovander Park and this will be our Installation Picnic.  More details to follow, but round up friends and family!   Pati passed around a signup sheet for selling Duck Tickets at Ferndale Haggen’s.  Sign up for a fun, easy way to sell those tickets!!
Happy Bucks:  Bill started the ball rolling with a $20 donation to buy him some time to tell a story about some Portland bikers coming to WA to sell their cannabis.  Sadly, they got confused and ended up at the border in the Nexus lane with a Harley filled with the wacky weed.  Chaos ensued, but they were able to unwind with Ken and Bill in the bar at Bob’s.  Bill was also happy for his grandniece graduation from sitting in waffles to getting her High School and AA degree.  Rocky had some $ for the great weather.  Stan was happy that the Mariners are at .500!  Laurie had 500 pennies to celebrate this, as well.  Tim was happy for a Rotary make-up breakfast with Jim Blaney.  Pati was happy for a great Memorial weekend with guests from New Zealand.  Graham was happy that there is a new Rotary club in his area for younger people and it sounds like an active, vibrant club.  Sharon did not have a long story to justify her $5, but she did say she was heading to Brazil soon for the RI convention.  Rick was $5 happy to be heading in the direction of Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota (which are all the same state, it turns out) and he was also happy for the Mariners and the good weather.  Marlene was happy to have her friends, Brian and Bridged Lott join her along with husband, MarkBob Moles was happy about the Memorial Day flag ceremony at Greenacres and thanked the Veteran’s organization for this.  He was also happy to see Graham, describing the great host Graham was when Bob and Julie were in New Zealand last year. Brian Lott also gave happy bucks for his visit to the club.  (Brian was a Rotarian in the Langley B.C. area.)
Finemaster:  Members were fined $2 if they did not give $5 in happy bucks.  Sharon got a few bucks tacked onto her $15 “Mary Lou”.  Marlene was fined a ridiculous amount because Ken could not read that her Mary Lou had been paid on 5-17.   Members were fined if they missed last week’s meeting at the B & G club in Blaine.  Members who did not bring a guest were fined $2.  If someone was lucky enough to bring guests from Lummi Island, that person was fined $2.  Jill was fined for having her cell phone go off.  Anyone going to Wisconsin/Michigan was fined $2.  If members have not signed up with Pati to sell Duck Tickets, they were fine $2. Anyone who has not sold any tickets was fined $2.  Any attorney who walked in late for the meeting was fined $3.  Ken threw in $10 of his own for the 10 years Stan took to teach us the proper way to say the flag salute.  (Editor’s note:  After typing this, I realize I did not pay my fines.  I will throw in a $10.00  “Mary Lou” to make up for this oversight.  My bad!
Banners:  No Banners
Program:  Today’s program was fellowship!  We are getting socialized!
Drawing:   Laurie (of course) won the basket of flowers that Bill not only donated, but it should be noted, he built the wooden basket!  Rocky did not pull the Ace of Spades so the pot grows!
DO NOT FORGET:  THE NEXT MEETING (JUNE 4th) IS AT 4:30 AT THE FERNDALE LIBRARY ON MAIN STREET!
