Returning Rotarians:  Deb was returning from Phoenix, St Louis, Lake of the Ozarks and many other locals including Eldon Missouri, which is the namesake of her father!  Tim and Pati returned driving over central Italy and attending a Villhauer/Vielhauer/Vilhauer International Family Reunion in Potsdam Germany.  Eric and his wife just returned from Florida and the Florida Keys for a graduation and to visit a 101 year old Aunt that eats a slice of lemon everyday, including the rind!

Birthdays:  None announced

Announcements:  Jill reports Greg surgery went well and is recovering.  We need Table Captains for the Youth Recognignation which is on May 26th at Northwood Hall, please show up early at 11:30   June 4th is the Star Park work party, see if you can help out by recruiting any additional volunteers and it would be a good idea to bring some tools just in case.   Eric is willing to deliver tickets for the Rubber Duck Derby, contact him if you need more.

Happy Bucks:  Bill was happy to apologize to the speaker for asking her what tools to bring and he sold his first book of tickets!  Lori was $8 happy for 8 series wins in a row by the Mariners, and $2 for a sweep.  Jake had an IOU $1 for the Mariners.  Sharon $5 for Greg and receiving all $5 bills from the ATM.  Jim S $15 for Kens invocation and $5 for something (sorry!)  Ken was happy to have Sue here and Jim S being here with $$s.  Marlene was generally happy.  Julie was happy she sold her 3rd book!!  Rollo $2 happy for Greg.  Deb happy 2 partners just received their MBA’s from U of Idaho.  Eric was $40 happy, 5 for Tim and Pati’s return, 5 for his trip, 5 for Greg, 5 for his daughter’s new position at Duke.  Pati was $5 happy for her trip and being married to such a swell guy.

Fine Master:  Marlene was her normally brilliant witty self.  She fined Tim & Pati $5 EACH (oh the humanity!) for a ridicules vacation that she whishes she was on.  Ken – something about him being bitter and refusing so it cost him $2.  $1 if not wearing a Rotary Pin.  $1 if you have not sold a RDD ticket yet.  Julie $2 for raising the bar on RDD ticket sales.  Jake was fined $2 because his of the cuff invocation seemed to be lacking his normal good personal relationship.  Bill was smacked for $2 for applying pressure by buying tickets for those buying!?!  $1 if on vacation in the last month.

Banners:  Another brilliant display from Stan commemorating the driving of the golden spike for the Transcontinental Railroad.

Program:  Colleen Haggerty the executive director of Our Tree House (oh snap, now do you see Bill’s confusion??) provided our program today.   Our Tree House provides support and resources to children, teens, young adults and their families who are grieving a death.  They were organized eight years ago, and provided pay to staff members three years ago.  She shared a nice video.   She then shared some information and stories of one of their programs, Teen Night.  She further stated that each person has rights, which are to grieve in their own way, to know what happened to the person that died, the right to not grieve, the right to be loved.  Colleen also asked that we don’t say “I know how you feel”, you don’t.

Raffle:  Deb won the day prize (cheese board and cutter) and Julie drew the 50/50 raffle. She did not pick the ace of spades; it was the five of diamonds so the pot grows.  She missed out on $748.
