AIM (Attitude + Involvement Makes a Difference)
Attitude + Involvement Makes a Difference
The AIM Volunteer project is in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cedar Rapids at their South Unit/1st Congregational Church (361 17th Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403 Office: 319-350-3759). This project encourages Club members to improve their attitudes (both in school and at the Club) and to make a difference in the community by being involved and helping others.
On the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 4- 4:45 pm, Metro North Rotary would like 6-12 club members to AIM and hit the mark!
The first 15 minutes will include an awards ceremony for the kids who have shown improved attitudes or have taken an initiative to get involved by helping others. These kids will be chosen by Lori Ampey, the Unit Director of the East Side Clubs. After the awards ceremony Rotarians will have a chance to work with kids in 3 different age groups playing educational games or reading with the kids.
AIM lasts until 4:45 pm if you can stay that long.
