This year the Carols on the Common will be held online. The Rotary Clubs of North Ryde and Macquarie Park will be organising a get together at Top Ryde shopping centre on Sunday 13 December to watch the livestream and to celebrate the end of a very challenging year. More details to come once the venue and time have been finalised. We hope all our members and friends can join us!
Each year at the Carols on the Common there is a bucket collection held that raises funds to go to a local or worthy charitable group. In the past we have raised funds for Rotary Oceanic Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC) and the Rural Fire Brigade. This year instead of a bucket collection, there will be an opportunity to make a donation online to Foodbank and/or Riding for the Disabled at Marsfield. There are many people and families doing it tough this year so for those who generously wish to help there will be a donation box for Foodbank placed outside Richies IGA at Cox's Road Mall close to the Carols launch date. Please remember also that the donation box for North Ryde Community Aid- Presbyterian Aged Care at Richies IGA will also continue to need your support.
