Julie Clark continues to collect some amazing recipes: so far she describes some really tasty dishes, from “Bill’s Beef Stroganoff with Buttered Noodles” and “Traditional Irish stew” to  “Nana’s Steamed Pudding with Ginger Sauce” and everybody’s favourite, “Sticky Date Pudding”.

However she is still short on soups, vegetable dishes and salads, biscuits and slices and could probably do with a few more different desserts, and perhaps some canapés.

The Shadow knows you could dig out some more old and new recipes for Julie’s project!

The Shadow on the other hand is no fan of Miriam Margolyes, who is a shining example of the decline in good manners.

Margolyes has admitted she had wanted Boris Johnson to die of coronavirus during his battle with the deadly bug.

The actress, 78, made the comments about the Prime Minister - who caught Covid-19 and battled the virus in hospital - during an appearance The Last Leg Locked Down Under on Friday evening.

Amanda Scardamaglia of Swinburne University told us she  had planned to write to us with details of the launch of her book Printed on Stone: The Lithographs of Charles Troedel, but unfortunately the launch that was scheduled for next week has been postponed.

Although the official launch and bookstore release has been delayed, the book is still available for purchase directly from the publisher, Melbourne Books.

In the meantime, she included a little teaser -  click here!

The Shadow suspects President Charlotte and Peter have been flying high; for she recently recommended this:

“Have you ever wondered what the birds see as they fly around Kew?"

Take an aerial stroll through our Gardens to see a different view to normal.”

"We can travel to the tropics, the desert and the mountains without leaving the house with seasonal footage and a sneak peek at the glasshouses across Kew and Wakehurst."

Sure enough, she added a link so we can  roam the Kew Gardens from the comfort of our own homes.

Thanks for the tip, Charlotte. As in “When Harry met Sally”, we’ll have what you’re having!

The Shadow knows that Noel NcInnes is a closet fan of Ginger Meggs. Both Noel and Ginger would have mixed feelings about the schools re-opening:

The Shadow, on the other hand, relates to Clint Eastwood:
