Neil Pinto was the OIC last Saturday, and his management style was different - control with the camera.

A large contingent of the team gathered around the BBQ, and investigated the configuration of the tablecloths, their shape, size, dimensions and frictional qualities relevant to the trestle tops. This was serious analysis of a long term problem. The OIC recorded, photographically, that this workshop had actually occurred, and labelled the evidence: "How many Rotarians does it take to change a tablecloth." Scandalous behaviour.
During the packup, equipment was being loaded onto trailers, this process being akin to slalom Skiing, when there was a close call with a magnolia. Rather than have all and sundry race in and become a rabble, one member sat back and provided considered supervision.

Congratulations to Jim Gibson who resisted the urge to be part of the mob, and ensured that trailer and tree were separated with great diligence. We have photographic evidence of this role.

Stall collections on the Day - rent and insurance - amounted to $710, the gate contributed $303.90, and BBQ profit was $229.90. After paying the musicians ($150), there was $1093.80 banked.
The market started slowly, had a burst of activity between 10am and midday, five stalls booked but failed to show, and by container closing time, the sun was pleasant.

The team on the day was: Neil Pinto, Tim Barter, John Gary, Paul Murray, Jonty Schuter, Wal Paton, Michael Knight, Pat Ingram, Jim Gibson, Jeremy Reithmuller, Bob Willis, Tim McMullen

Sprout and About committee chairman, John Smith, has been promoting the market to the populace of Wagga Wagga, raising awareness by placing signs at strategic locations around the city. The future of this initiative is under a cloud, as a higher authority has chosen to indulge in tactics similar to the children's game, "Hide and Seek." We will keep you informed.

Mark Hillis has also had some experience with this authority. Members at the meeting will not easily forget his experience in the 8 x 110 metres hurdles.
