Kauai's Challenge with Invasive Species

Rachel Smith, Outreach Specialist:  Rachel joined KISC in January 2015, and is excited to help build invasive species and conservation awareness in the community. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a BA in Environmental Science, she took some time to travel, and then settled back in Missouri working for various sustainability initiatives. She then and took an opportunity to work with Kauai DLNR on a wetland restoration project in Mana. Now with KISC, Rachel writes our blog, gives presentations, and is always happy to converse with the public about the importance of helping to protect Kauai’s native and beautiful biodiversity.
