Covid-19: Where Are We Now? – Drs. Wilde & Thury

Rotarian Dr. Paul Amundson will host a conversation with Dr. Chad Thury of Avera Health and Dr. Michael Wilde of Sanford Health regarding the latest Covid-19 information. They will discuss a multitude of topics including the recent increase in hospitalization rates, updates on therapeutics and a vaccine, mental health considerations and what the latest modeling for influenza season looks like.

The meeting will be held at the Washington Pavilion – Belbas Theatre and will begin at noon. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and seating. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. Please use this link to purchase your lunch that will be available for pick up following the meeting.

Face masks will be strongly encouraged for all attending. Distancing protocols will be followed.

All programs are recorded and streamed live on Facebook & YouTube. Local media are invited to attend to record the session. If you do not feel comfortable attending an in-person meeting, we will continue to stream our meetings live so you can watch them from your home or office. Attendance is optional.

About Dr. Michael Wilde – Sanford Health

Dr. Michael Wilde serves as Vice President, Medical Officer of the Sanford Health Services Division for the Sioux Falls Region. He is responsible for the Medical Staff Office and serves as a liaison between medical staff and administration. Dr. Wilde is a native of Watertown, SD and is married with three children.

About Dr. Chad Thury – Avera Health

Dr. Chad Thury is a family medicine provider for Avera Medical Group the Family Health Center. Currently Dr. Thury is transitioning into a new role as the AMG Medical Director of Quality and Innovation to continue to focus on clinic-based quality metrics and bringing innovative ways to practice medicine at Avera. Dr. Thury and his wife Bobbi have 4 young kids.
