Lytton Chinese History Museum by Lorna Fandrich

The Lytton Chinese History Museum is owned and operated by sole proprietor Lorna Fandrich.

On June 30th 2021, a wildfire tore through Lytton, destroying many homes and businesses in its path, the Chinese History Museum included. The recovery of the artifacts has almost finished. The results and the items' conditions have been disappointing and heartbreaking. Only 40 out of 1600+ artifacts have survived the fire.

However Lorna is still passionate about telling that story for the Chinese people and she wishes to rebuild the museum, further establishing its status as an emblem of hope and resilience.

Lorna is a lay researcher, businesswoman, and grandmother who has been in Lytton for four decades. As Executive Director of the Museum, she is responsible for collecting, curating, cataloguing, and hosting visitors.

The Museum’s team also includes a small group of volunteers that assist in research, conservation and cataloguing of items.
