Weekly Meeting - Addressing the Digital Divide

Our Speaker is Catherine Crago Head of Strategic Initiatives and Resource Development Housing Authority of the City of Austin and Austin Pathways. She will be speaking about the Housing Authority of the City of Austin's "Unlocking the Connection Program" to address the digital divide. 

 

Catherine Crago Blanton is Head of Strategic Initiatives and Resource Development at the Housing Authority City of Austin and its non-profit subsidiary Austin Pathways. She has been an invited speaker at the White House, provided testimony to the Federal Communications Commission and participated in U.S. Senate briefings on broadband adoption and digital equity. She has been the driving force behind the Unlocking the Connection program.

 

Early in her career, Crago Blanton worked extensively with public-private technology partnerships, including SEMATECH and MCC, before serving as a Senior Manager on a firmwide Strategic Cost Management team at a Big 3 management consulting firm. She has conducted digital equity assessments for state agencies and local governments.
She holds a BA in History from the University of Texas. Crago Blanton has lived and worked in Europe and Asia. She serves on the Board of Advisors and lectures in the University of Texas M.Sc. In the Human Dimensions of Organizations.
