Miss Remarkable Pageant | An APTIV fundraising event
Our fellow Rotarians Dave Warren and Mark Lorenz recently submitted a District Grant request to sponsor the areas first ever Miss RemarkAble pageant. Miss RemarkAble is for women with disabilities ages 13 and older. The Miss RemarkAble Pageant provides a platform for these women to build their confidence and self-esteem through educational workshops in the morning, as well as one-on-one interviews, ending the day with the on-stage pageant portion. During the pageant, the contestants will introduce themselves, answer an on-stage question, and their RemarkAble Me Videos will be played. All ten contestants will receive their own personalized title, along with a crown, sash and flowers.
The Aptiv (formerly known as Riverfront) Foundation is taking the lead in organizing this project but our Rotary Club is making it possible by providing funding for the venue, food, hairstylists and other costs associated with the event. There will be opportunities for our club members to assist with this unique event which will take place on Saturday, November 17 at the Armory.
