Greetings from the Janesville Noon Rotary Club!

I am honored to serve as this year’s President of the Janesville Noon Rotary Club, and am looking forward to serving the Janesville community and helping with the global missions of Rotary International.  Our club was chartered in 1918 and has served the community for 96 years; very impressive!  Our chapter has over 15 service projects and fundraisers each year, we truly live the “Service above Self” mission!  Our motto, as you see below, is Janesville Noon Rotary   Creating a Better Community…A Better World!

The 2014-2015 Rotary International theme is "Light Up Rotary!".  We have to lead by example… and that is never truer than with our club!

Do you want to change lives locally and internationally? Do you want to network with the area's community leaders; leaders who are willing to mentor your personal growth? Do you want to have fun in the process? Contact myself or any Rotarian and learn more about Rotary! We give, but what we get back in return will truly change your life.

You may not know that in 1988, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative was started and represents the largest internationally coordinated public health project to date. With the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation the progress has been monumental. We are now  in the final push to eradicate the disease as part of Rotary International and in partnership.  With a drive to raise $5.5 billion dollars, our goal is to wipe out the virus by 2018.  Our club supports this effort by making a donation to the PolioPlus Program in recognition of our speakers each week. We donate  enough to vaccinate 15 children every week! We change lives daily!

Finally, we are always looking for new members who will be engaged Rotarians!  So if you have a desire to serve our community and world, are looking for a service club that has it all, or just want to meet a group of friendly people, please contact me at dogdoc89@gmail.com for additional information.  We meet every Monday at noon at Rotary Gardens.  We also welcome visiting Rotarians to join us for lunch.

Yours in Rotary,

Steven Servantez, DVM
