Chehalis Rotary Purchases School Supplies for Homeless Children

Back to school shopping should be a happy event, with children and parents looking forward to a new school year.  Unfortunately, when finances are tight this can be a stressful outing if it happens at all.  Thanks to the proceeds of the Chehalis Rotary Golf Ball Drop, 48 homeless children from the Chehalis School District were able to purchase all of their necessary school supplies.  There were lots of smiles and thank you's from children and parents alike on Wednesday, August 27 as they came down Walmart's Aisle 26 where the register was designated solely for our event.
