Suzanne Parker, Executive Director of Girls Inc. of the Valley will be our speaker this Friday, March 13th. Girls, Inc of the Valley inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. They were founded in 1981 and provide school-age, youth development and mentoring programs that give girls the opportunity to develop and achieve their full potential. 
 
In January, Girls Inc., the leading nonprofit that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, released Stronger, Smarter, Bolder: Girls Take the Lead, a report of studied insights into what is needed to ensure girls are prepared to succeed in leadership roles in business, politics, and their communities. Stronger, Smarter, Bolder: Girls Take the Lead present both a wide-ranging analysis of the latest research on the primary factors shaping girls’ lives today, and recommendations for the most crucial supports communities should focus on for girls. Suzanne will provide highlights from the report as well as an overview of where and how they are serving girls in the greater Springfield area.
 
Suzanne Parker is a native of western Massachusetts, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Juris Doctor Degree from Western New England University School of Law where she served as a note editor for the Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. Currently Ms. Parker serves locally on the Holyoke Community College Board of Trustees and nationally on the Girls Inc. Board of Directors. She is married and has a 14 year old daughter. Girls Inc. of the Valley, founded in 1981, provides school-age, youth development and mentoring programs that give girls the opportunity to develop and achieve their full potential. Recently Suzanne was recently recognized as one of Business West’s 2019 Women of Impact.
