Club member Janine Kempfer will discuss the history of discrimination in housing in this country. Black homeownership is at its lowest point since the 1960’s - when discrimination and segregation was legal. To understand the issues of today, we must understand the history. Janine will shed a light on how housing laws and practices of the past still have an impact on Black homeownership and wealth creation today. She will also discuss what actions are being taken to improve those numbers.
