President Elect Training Schedule

PETS 2.  A structured in person meeting of around 120 minutes held in a larger group where DGE Rick will introduce the Rotary International Theme for 16/17.  We will go over the club planning guide, goals and format of the upcoming PETS 3 in King of Prussia.  You will receive materials to take with you from this meeting.

Presenting a new initiative to enrich children’s educational experience in the Quakertown area
 
Dr. Eve Puhalla, Executive Director of PIER, llc – (Proactive, Individualized Educational Responses) will be presenting a new initiative to enrich children’s educational experience in the Quakertown area. Dr. Puhalla earned her Ph.D. in Special Education concentrating in learning disabilities, academic interventions and literacy from Lehigh University, Bethlehem PA. She is the winner of the 2007 American Education Research Association Special Education Special Interest Group Outstanding Student Researcher Award. Dr. Puhalla holds a M.A. from The University of Findlay, Findlay OH, in Special Education with a concentration in Children's Literature, and a B.S. from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown PA, in Elementary Education.
The third Tuesday of each month, from 6PM-8PM, the Quakertown Rotary Club works a shift at the Quakertown Food Pantry. This event is open to all Rotarians and their families.

PETS 3.  

Mid Atlantic PETS, This is the Rotary mandated 2 day event that all PE’s must attend in King of Prussia, you will find this unique event beneficial to your year.  You will be with over 250 fellow PE’s from 5 districts and take part in both plenary and breakout sessions. You are also asked to stay over Friday night (at no cost to you!) to enjoy dinner, networking and avoid travel time very early on Saturday morning

There will also be optional sessions on Thursday 23th.  We will inform you the details nearer to PETS 3.

Ivy Hill Equestrian Center

Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center creates therapeutic programs for individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs utilizing the equine experience. 

Join us for the Upper Bucks Foot and Ankle Run for Youth 10 Mile and 4 Mile races presented by the Quakertown Rotary. This challenging late winter 10 miler is a good test in advance of the spring race season while the 4 miler is a rolling out-and-back course for runners who prefer shorter distances. Both courses run through the rolling hills of Upper Bucks County and are well marked with signs and volunteers at all major intersections. While the roads are open, there is relatively little traffic.

The Murder Mystery Dinner begins promptly at 6:00 pm. Check in and cocktail hour starts at 5:00.  If you are making reservations separately but joining others, you MUST include the Group Heads last name at time of reservation so that you will be seated together. If there is a group attending we should be contacted by ONE Group member to arrange the seating details. All Seating is assigned. To insure a private table a party must have seven (7) or more Guests.
 
Dinner Theater tickets are not mailed.  There will be a Check-in Table the evening of the performance.

Join your fellow District 7430 Rotarians!  This 7 day cruise, March 26-April 2, 2017 to the Dominican Republic combines all the amenities of a first-class cruise ship, beautiful port and beach facilities, and so important to all Rotarians, a chance to serve and participate in Impact Projects with the local inhabitants.
