Robert Shaver - Alameda County Water District

Robert Shaver joined the Alameda County Water District as a Project Engineer in 1991. While at ACWD, Robert has been the Development Services Manager, the Manager of Engineering, and Assistant General Manager-Engineering and was appointed as General Manager in December, 2014. Prior to joining ACWD, Robert served as an engineer with the Suffolk County Water Authority in Oakdale, NY and an engineering consulting firm in New York City.

His over 29 years of experience includes numerous aspects of water utility management, planning and operations, management of the capital improvement program, and active participation in California water policy issues. He is a registered Professional Engineer in California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, as well as a certificate in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley.

Robert is a member of several technical and water industry organizations and currently serves as a Board member for the California Urban Water Agencies and is on the Executive Committee for CalDesal. He is also a member of the Fremont Rotary Club and is a longtime resident of Fremont.
