Challenges of the Canadian Institute in Egypt at the Dig Site of Tel er-Rub'a in Egypt
Antoine Hirsch is an Egyptologist and a Director of the Canadian Institute in Egypt.

By way of background, the Canadian Institute in Egypt is recognized by protocols signed in September 1982 by the Canadian and Egyptian governments (http://www.canadianinstituteinegypt.org). The Institute promotes study and research in the educational, scientific, cultural, technical, archaeological and historical fields. The Institute serves as the channel for contacts between Canadian scholars and artists, and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Culture, and the Academy of Scientific and Technical Research.

The Institute’s raison d’être includes facilitating and creating long-lasting relationships between post-secondary students from both countries, in order to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the culture of Canada in Egypt -- and of Egypt in Canada.

Antoine will be speaking about the achievements and challenges of the Canadian Institute at the dig site of Tel er-Rub'a (Mendes) in Egypt.
