Jim will be speaking about the regional Sierra Club’s Ready For 100 campaign, and what actions are being taken by communities in the greater Philadelphia area to transition to 100% clean, renewable energy. He is the chair of the regional Sierra Club group. "Ready For 100" is what is energizing most of Sierra Club volunteers these days.

His business colleage Bill Sabey the chairman of the Environmental Advisory Board will be joining him at our meeting.

Jim will be speaking to the Central Perkiomen Regional Planning Commission about this same subject on 21 January.

Jim Wylie is the volunteer chair of the Sierra Club's Southeastern Pennsylvania Group (SPG). Jim lives in West Chester Borough where he rents and sells electric bicycles in hopes of getting more people out of their cars. Jim is a strong advocate for renewable energy as a solution to environmental impacts of burning, extracting and transporting fossil fuels.   

Bill Sabey is a volunteer leader with the Ready For 100 team in Montgomery County. Bill lives in Plymouth Meeting and serves on the Environmental Advisory Board their. Bill has been making presentations to township supervisors and environmental committees in Montco and neighboring communities to encourage goal setting and planning for a transition to 100% renewable energy.
