Monroe County Public Health Needs

Rotarian Michael Albert addressed the club today on a needs assesment that was conducted.  This meeting was an open forum discussion.  Points that were discussed was that our working poor has many challenges: nutrition, housing cost, property taxes and transportation.  Michael stated the need to get healthier foods into the food pantries.  Mental health issues neet to be addressed and there is a lock of professional help.  Monroe County has a high alcoholic, smoking and obesity rate.  Rotarian Kirby Upright gave a review on the Daffodil Express.
