Don't Miss the Auction on March 18th to Benefit Exchange Student Travels
Help Manuel Arhusiander attend the Rotary Exchange Student West Coast Tour
Dear Harrisburg Rotary Club members,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Manuel Erik Arhusiander, and I am an exchange student from Sweden. I want to thank the Rotary Club of Harrisburg for sponsoring my exchange in Harrisburg this year. I am so happy to be doing this and I believe this has done wonders for me in many ways.

I attend Central Dauphin High School as a senior and I currently run on the track team. This past fall I also ran cross country and played soccer in a rec league outside of the school. Beyond sports, my biggest passion is cooking. I like the creativity behind it. The time in the US sparked a new love for painting that I didn’t know that I had. I will be bringing a selection of my paintings  to the March 18th Rotary meeting to be auctioned  to help raise the remainder of the money needed to to spend fourteen days traveling along the west coast with Belo USA. The trip begins June 14th when the plane lands in Phoenix, AZ. Here I will meet up with other fellow Rotary Exchange Students who have also decided to visit and to learn about the west coast. With the Exchange students and Belo USA, we will explore the most remarkable sites that the west coast has to offer. The first four days will be spent in Arizona where we will visit the national park Grand Canyon. After that we will make our way to the Vibrant city of Las Vegas where we will spend 3 days. Next destination will be Los Angeles where we will do things such as going to Universal Studios and Disneyland. Then we will head to Merced and Yosemite National Park and at last end the trip in San Francisco where I will on the June 27th departure back to Harrisburg. I really want to go on this trip because it is, just like my exchange, a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity. While on my exchange I want to see as much of the United States as possible. I am also really looking forward to meeting other exchange students and sharing with them about my time in the US.

The total cost of this trip is around $4,000 of which I have so far successfully raised $2,500. To cover the remaining amount, three of my paintings will be auctioned to support my trip.

The auction will  take place on March 18th during the Rotary meeting. I would really appreciate any support possible.

Thank you so much for this opportunity,

Manuel
