Excitement was high as current and past Rotarians gathered with guests and interns at Bearpath Country Club on June 28 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Eden Prairie AM Rotary Club with a look at the club's past, present and future.

The 84 attendees listened to two charter members, Roy Terwilliger and Skip Lane,  tell about the first few years of the club and heard past presidents tell about significant activities during the years they led the club (A copy of those highlights will be posted to the website in the near future.) A powerpoint of photos from current and past activities was also shown. During the social time, Ben Anderson (son of member Rod Anderson) and three fellow musicians played background music.

2015-16 President Jan Eian highlighted several things that were accomplished this past year and she was presented a Presidential Citation from District Governor Tim Murphy. 2016-17 President Jeanne Zetah shared that the club will continue working on the strategic plan set in April 2105 and, in addition, will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of The Rotary Foundation all year.  Dan O'Brien honored several people for their donations to the Rotary Foundation, especially Gary and Helen Bergren who made a second major donor gift.  Thanks to Dan O'Brien and his committee for organizing such a delightful event.

Pictured here are Roy and Mary Lou Terwilliger who will have a Legacy award named after them given to those who donate at a certain level to the EPAM Rotary Foundation; more details will be released during the year.  Also pictured is Skip Lane, the other charter member to attend.  To see more photos of the event, click on the 40th Anniversary Photo Album.
