Thank you Crete Rotary! Crete's Great Pumpkin Festival was a success once again, in its sixth year. Members staffed the information station at 12th and Main by selling carnival game tickets and handing out festival information. Members were also seen in other capacities throughout the festival volunteering on behalf of their work or other non-profit groups. Thank you all members who volunteered time towards any facet of this community event. You all contributed to its success.
If you have not contacted Jim J. or Chris for grocery grab tickets, please do so and contribute to this club fundraising effort. We know this year's grocery grab has its challenges due to the current COVID situation, but any way members can help, within their comfort level, will be appreciated. Members who sold tickets in the spring, should fill out a corresponding new (blue) ticket with the purchaser's information to take the place of the old ticket. Please do not use the old tickets.
Members interested in selling tickets outside Foodmart or Crete Ace Hardware this Saturday, please contact Jenn. The winning ticket will be drawn on Oct. 28. The grocery grab is on Nov. 7.
This week's meeting will be at the Crete Youth Cabin for a walking tour of the finished bridges. Individually packaged ice cream treats will be served. The weather looks to cooperate and special thank you to Tom P. who has arranged for our use of the cabin.
