Crete Rotary did an excellent job cleaning up at Crete Area Medical Center's Healing Garden last Wednesday. Nine members and one hour of work did a world of difference at the garden, which was looking good, but had become overgrown in some areas. Thank you to those who were able to make it to this work project and to Marilea and Chris for organizing.

This week is a tour of the Crete Police Station, 1945 Forest Ave. There may be street/parking lot construction going on at the station. As visitors, we are asked to park either up the block on Forest or in the Pizza Hut parking lot. We will go in the main entrance where Chief Hensel and available officers will meet us for a program and tour. Rotary 5650 District Governor Mick McKinley will be joining us as well. After the meeting, any members who are able are welcome to join an additional conversation with Mick at The Brew House.

Chris has received the dictionaries, which we will deliver to Crete Elementary next week on one of the following dates: Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m. or Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. We are also arranging for deliveries to St. James and Dorchester. Thank you to Chris and Karen for coordinating this annual project.
