The Forum is a programme aimed at high achieving, well-rounded science, maths and technology students in Year 12 this year.

These students will return for a Year 13 programme in 2021 and be planning to study science or technology subjects at a tertiary level, in New Zealand.  District 9930 Clubs will receive information and application packs via Clubrunner.
Information and downloads are also available from the District website. Secondary Schools have been sent information by the Forum Trust. Students can access information via the Trust’s website. Clubs are advised to check with their local schools to see if they are aware of the programme and have received information packs.

The programme is held in January (10 – 23 January 2021). Students stay on campus at the Auckland University O’Rourke Hall. The all inclusive cost of attending the forum is $1,895.00. This cost is shared ( by negotiation) between the nominating Rotary Club, Student and School (not all schools are in a position to financially support a student).
This is a wonderful programme, now in its 32nd year. Students are given a taste of campus life and the challenge of tertiary study. It is a very practical programme with plenty of hands-on experience in laboratories and fieldwork. It also gives participants the opportunity to meet like-minded students from throughout New Zealand.

Travel costs are supported by the Forum. Students return to Year 13 with a plan for their year's study and more informed about their tertiary pathway.

Most students present back to their nominating Rotary Club, these presentations have a reputation for their insight and entertainment.
