We were very happy to induct our newest corporate member: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
Words of Inspiration
Ann Rogers reminded us that geese stay in formation, which allows them to increase their flying range by 71%. Geese help each other out by honking to those up front to give them encouragement. When a goose falls out of formation, two other geese stay with it until it dies or can fly again. We need all of us to encourage one another. Leaders get tired. Help each other out.

Happy Moments

  • Holly announced that Ryan will do the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge this weekend (March 4-6). This year he is asking for food donations for the Newark Food Closet.
  • Jeff Patchen – His youngest child came in 2nd in National Cup Stacking competition and his oldest son announced his marriage to his girlfriend. Busy week!
  • Adam O- His wife and son are doing well in Disneyland and he sees his daughter from his Ring doorbell app.
  • Clay Depew told us the reason the V formation of geese is smaller on one side versus the other is that there are less geese on that side. Mind blowing!

Queen of Hearts
Clay got the lucky number but chose the wrong card. Better luck next week!

Peter Dohr presented Ellen Wayne of the Department of Social Services (DSS) for Wayne County. She is creating a new mentoring program for youth. Paul Walters and Megan Plantz were introduced as new mentors. They are still identifying mentors and mentees. The goal is to develop new leaders in the community. They have done site visits and met leaders within the county. They believe that to develop leaders, the contacts need to be created. Ellen invited the community to participate. It is a new program in its first year.
