Rescue Boats

This project was presented to the committee by Dave Smith and Wayne Williams (Fire Chief). The initial request was to assist with the purchase of 2 marine rescue boats and 2 boat houses, that would be stationed at each end of the city. The initial costs along with the uncertainty of funding participation from the city has resulted in a modified request for funding of 1 rescue boat as an alternative. The amount of funding requested is not yet clearly determined but is anticipated to be approximately $140,000.
