Scott Mercer is serving as Assistant Governor Team Lead
As the Assistant Governor Team Lead, my new role is to help coordinate activity across the 13 Area Assistant Governors. This year, so far, those efforts will include:
- Organizing support and coordinating facilitators for the One Rotary Summits in the Fall
- Working with the District Membership Committee to drive membership initiatives across Areas and Clubs through the Assistant Governors
- Working with and Coordinating the efforts of the Districts “Club Size Representatives” to better share best practices across Club of similar sizes and similar issues
- Managing the monthly reporting from the Area Assistant Governors to the District Governor
- Attending the District Board meetings, District Events, PETs, NCPETS as well as AG training.
And Bev Driscoll is serving as the Assistant Governor for Area 11
As the Assistant Governor for Area 11 , Bev’s responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a resource and connection to District leadership across for Club leadership at 5 Area clubs,
o Stillwater,
o Stillwater Sunrise,
o Lake Elmo
o Woodbury
o North St. Paul/Maplewood/Oakdale
- Coordinating the District Governor (DG) visits across her Clubs
- Communicating Club Strengths/Weaknesses to the DG
- Coordinating and encouraging collaborations among Clubs in her area
- Attending President Elect Trainings
- Attending and supporting District events
- Routine (quarterly) check ins with clubs
- Helping incoming Presidents with goals
- Promoting attendance at District Event, like One Rotary Summit!
It is important to point out that neither Scott nor Bev are in line to become the District Governor any time soon – so no need to ask about that! J
