Hiking Mount Nemrut
Silicon Valley Rotary visited Adiyaman Nemrut Rotary during their 20th annual hike to Mount Nemrut event. The event is one of its kind since disabled are carried to the summit on foot and live music at the summit makes one of the wonders of the world even more magical. Adiyaman Nemrut Rotary club bring awareness to disabled and helps them to integrate to life by donating wheelchairs and bringing them together in social events. Adiyaman and Silicon Valley Star clubs also work toward the common goal of "End Polio Now".
Adiyaman Nemrut Rotary Visit
The secretary of Adiyaman-Nemrut Rotary, Mehmet Ferit Binzet, visited Star Silicon Valley Rotary on March 21, 2019. He, previously, served as Adiyaman Area Governor (Area 2430). We talked about future joint projects and approved Adiyaman-Nemrut Rotary as a sister club.
7th Annual Cook-Off
Our fundraising event was a big success. We reached our goal and raised the funds for Braille Machine and 16 computers. Braille Machine is now in use in the library for visually impaired and computers are delivered to Adiyaman Halk Evleri. As a bonus, we enjoyed the music by Mert Ozel and delicious meals by our volunteers. We thank to everybody who shared the enthusiasm and came together for this meaningful goal and and to Adiyaman Rotary Club for jointly implementing this project with us. See you at the next event.

1) Sunyvale Community Services "Prevent Hunger" Project; and
2) The Sparks Program by Degisim Liderleri Dernegi (DLD) designed to to equip young women in Turkey with the skills required to be active participants in their communities and in the workforce. Launched in 2009, the Sparks Program is a unique and innovative eight-month experiential learning program to develop formalized leadership skills through active participation in a social change project that benefits the participants’ communities.
