Nepal Update

Suraj and Kamana Shakya visited the club to give an update on recovery updates in Nepal after the 2015 earthquake. after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and another 1.7m two weeks later there have been more than 400 aftershocks since. All the damage took about 25 seconds to happen has displaced 2.8 million people. 21 thousand people were injured 9,000 killed of that 1300 were children. There are still many buildings condemned and much of the countries infrastructure is still in need of repair including almost 7000 schools that were destroyed.
