Upgrade of Botanical Gardens

Following many months of planning, the upgrade of the bbq structure in the Botanic Gardens finally commenced in August 2022. Club members joined forces to demolish the existing building and remove all debris from the site. The slab was laid in November and steelwork erected by January 2023.  The project continued through the first few months of the year with the spouting and roof being installed followed by the two bbqs being put into position.  The final stage of the construction was completed in early June.  

 

Members of the Community Committee have recently upgraded the small rotunda in the Botanic Gardens. A new colourbond steel roof was installed, damaged wood panels replaced and a new coat of paint.
