Citrus Kick Off---our next program will feature the Citrus Team...who will attempt to juggle 3 oranges and 3 grapefruit at the same time.  The entire team has been practicing and the hope is at least one will be successful.  They will take up the entire program attempting to make it happen.  There is a citrus story in the EG Magazine, Alan Clarke Mentioned it in his column, and more stories will be sent out to local papers.  The committee is considering a post card order form to be sent to prospects.  It's raining citrus.

On October 14th...according to my schedule...our Million Dollar Meal will be held at Meeting Street School....arranged by John Wolcott who has arranged what he promises will be a very informative program.

Stan Reuter gave a happy buck for his trip to Puerto Rico...a gift from his kids to he and his wife for their anniversary.

Don Anderson gave a happy buck for having a buck left after trips to Dr. Bob Miller and Dr. Judy Pratt.  Miller's new car is now paid off and Pratt's kids are assured a college eduction.   In the accompanying photo Jodi is indicating Anderson's story just isn't interesting to the rest of us and Judy dozes for just a minute.

Our speaker, Judge William Smith, a US District Court Judge, gave us some insight o how the court operations.  Wile the number of trials is diminishing, apparently due to settlements, the time of a trial is increasing as suits become more and more complex.  The Judge apparently gave us a scoop, announcing he had just reversed a jury verdict, ruling the jury did not understand it's complexity.   That information did not appear in the Providenc Journal until several days later.
