Gilly Oppenheim and Sally Angus of the District Alumni Committee are working hard to build up lists of Rotary Alumni.
These are people Rotary Clubs have came into contact with, in the past as a result of one of our many Rotary Programmes or Projects such as :
- International Rotary Youth Exchange
- Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
- National Science and Technology Forum
- Group Study Exchange (GSE) – Plus (Professional Development Exchanges in the future)
- Speech Contests
- Rotaract
- Ambassadorial Scholars
Most of the Rotary Alumni have had a fantastic experience with Rotary, and then in a lot of cases have lost touch. It is important where possible to make contact again and see if they would like to have any future involvement. It may be just receiving their local Clubs Newsletters or helping out on a small project. It might be an opportunity for your Club to invite them to a social function, just to re kindle that connection.
Gilly and Sally are currently collating a list of addresses. This list of Alumni can be found on the District ClubRunner Website. If you wish to check out if there are any Alumni your club may wish to contact, you can do so as follows:

- Click “For Rotarians” on the main menu
- Choose “Go to the Rotarians’ Area” (you will need to log in to see the lists)
- In the left-most column under the heading MEMBERSHIP you will find
- Rotary GSE-VVT Alumni
- Rotary RYE Alumni (Inbound)
- Rotary RYE Alumni (Outbound)
In the meantime we need to keep adding to these lists.
