The Rockton-Roscoe & Loves Park Rotary clubs have joined forces to support the Rockford Rescue Mission.  The Rotary Challenge 70 in 7 was launched on April 2nd.  We are asking the community for 70 donations in 7 days.  (attached is the flyer).  The Rockford Rescue Mission serves over 600 meals daily and is at full capacity of 175 beds.  They are in desperate need of eggs, beans, paper products, and cold & cough medicine.  They have implemented a 'take out' food program to continue serving the Rockford homeless community. Our clubs are trying to create awareness and donations for the Mission through this challenge and encouraging the community to post selfies on Facebook or any social media outlet of their donations and support.  The challenge ends on April 9th.

The Rockton-Roscoe club will continue to support the Carpenter's Place on April 21st.  The Carpenter's Place is a homeless day center that supports the Rockford area.  Our club serves breakfast each quarter to 50-60 adults.  This month we will be supplying the breakfast dishes, milk and fruit but will not be serving the residents.

The Rockton-Roscoe club has implemented conference calls as their meeting format.  We continue to meet on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday at 7:00.  Our next meeting (4/15) will be via ZOOM and include a virtual happy hour.
