Winners of the 60 day membership Challenge

CONGRATULATIONS

Rotary Clubs in our District were invited to participate in a challenge to increase their membership by the greatest percentage between 1 August 2016 and 30 September 2016.

We received two outstanding entries:

Kaukau Rotary increased its membership by 35% - from 23 to 31 – and wins the first prize of two free registrations to the District 9940 Rotary Conference

Heretaunga Rotary increased its membership by 12.5% - from 24 – 27 – and wins one free registration to the District Conference.

Congratulations to both of these Rotary Clubs. Across the District as a whole, this year to date our membership has increased by a net 2 to 1,752. We all know that this is not enough to ensure our membership numbers do not decline, as we traditionally have a large number of exits at the end of the Rotary year. DG Martin is encouraged by the efforts he sees Rotary Clubs making to increase their membership and encourages all Clubs to aim for a net increase of members by 30 June 2017.
