I kept seeing in Facebook photo's of Rotarians in our district holding a white rose and saying that they are now Warriors for Peace. I couldn't contain myself any longer and had to ask what it was about. This is the response
The Warriors for Peace project started in Taihape at the change-over for 2017/18. President Michael put a challenge out to the other Rotary Presidents from the Rangitikei Cluster. DG Mitch Brown stepped up as well as AG Richard 
Wishnowsky and so it has spread slowly into other Rotary Clubs in District 9940.
Wishnowsky and so it has spread slowly into other Rotary Clubs in District 9940.In his first address IP Ian Riseley urged Rotarians to promote Peace in their Communities and so Warriors for Peace challenge will move to all 6 Districts and Clubs in New Zealand then to Rotary Clubs worldwide.
At the first Cluster meeting 2017/18 Michael was asked if he wanted to use the Warriors project to further a cause that could benefit from the exposure and from the meeting we have started on a journey to support Teen Mums to
face the stress of pregnancy and stop the disconnect with society caused by unthinking moral outrage and further difficulties accessing education, healthcare and accommodation.
So that is it - Find a white rose,
