ROTARIANS CONSTUCT AND INSTALL PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

A group of Dover Rotarians volunteered to help construct Early Start/Head Start playground equipment for Community Action Partnership of Strafford County on Saturday, Nov. 10th. The Rotary Club of Dover donated $15,000 to the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County for its new HeadStart/Early Start playground, and led a Rotary District Grant process that resulted in additional funding; $5,000 in a Rotary District Grant, a $2,000 donation from the Rochester Rotary Club, and another $2,000 donation from the Durham/Great Bay Rotary Club. Rotarians will also donate their time in a hands-on effort to assemble playground equipment. Once constructed, the play space will be sustained through continued volunteer engagement for routine maintenance repairs and improvements.

The three Strafford County Rotary Clubs have had a long and close relationship with CAPSC, an anti-poverty organization serving at-risk children, families, and seniors, whose mission very closely mirrors that of Rotary International. CAPSC has recently relocated their headquarters and programs into a central location in Dover.  #rotaryclubofdover #cap #givingbacktoourcommunity #serviceaboveself
