RAISES MONEY FOR "PACK A BACKPACK"

The Rotary Club of Brunswick's "Pack a Backpack" fundraiser on October 29th, raised $3000 for Midcoast Hunger Prevention's weekend food program for food insecure families. Rotarians and their friends enjoyed an evening of wine and hors d'oeuvres at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern, while supporting a program which provides healthy food for the weekend. The Brunswick area schools participate in this program by identifying needy children and distributing the food on Fridays.

Silent and live auction items added to the festive evening, while increasing the revenue for this worthy cause. Everything from plane rides and aerial photos, to baskets of doggie items and dinner coupons enticed those who gathered.
