Warm Greetings to all our Rotarians and Rotaractors.

Wow, we are such busy Rotarians here in Victoria’s beautiful South East region. This month’s Froggie’s Chain Mail is chock full of interesting reports, images and information on coming and past events. Enjoy the read, and for visitors to our website www.district9820.org, you’ll see all this posted on the home page. Enjoy.

Congratulations AG Peter Dell on his elevation to Australian Chair of DreamCricket, and welcome to Harry Ziegerink who has taken on the previously vacant District 9820 RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service) Coordinator role.

Well done Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise with their innovative 12-hour Treadmill Challenge fundraiser, netting over $22k for Very Special Kids. See the report later in this Chain Mail.

Coming up is the Celebrating the Rotary Foundation dinner featuring special guest from Sri Lanka, Past Rotary International President and incoming Chair of the Rotary Foundation K.R. “Ravi” Ravindran. This is a must for anyone interested in the Foundation.

Coming up on Sunday 17 November is our District’s Annual General Meeting at Marist-Sion College Warragul. Clubs are the members of Rotary International District 9820 Incorporated, so we need a quorum of club representatives there to proceed with the meeting.

Club members who are the official delegate of their club MUST bring the signed credentials with them. Forms for this have been emailed out with the notice of meeting to all clubs.

The AGM will be followed by a Foundation Seminar being organised by PDG Charlie Speirs (District’s Rotary Foundation Chair).

Welcome to New Members
A very big welcome to these new members who have joined us in the past month. We hope you find your time in Rotary both inspiring and fulfilling and issue an open invite for you to engage and participate fully in our magnificent global organisation.

One of the first recommendations I would make to you is register yourself for My Rotary at www.rotary.org. This will give you access to an enormous amount of Rotary resources and information available in the member section.

A great starting point is https://my.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/learn-role/new-member then roam from there.
