With Roger Thornton (District 9820 DIK Co-ordinator ) and members from Rotary Clubs of Pakenham, Koo Wee Rup / Lang Lang and Berwick they packed a van with student chairs & desks and some computer tables from Mary Mackillop Primary School, Narre Warren North. Once unloaded at the DIK warehouse in Footscray the equipment will now be placed  into a container and shipped off to Papua New Guinea for a Rotary Club of Castlemaine project.

The store has just about everything from cloths, books, desks, bicycles, computers, medical equipment, beds, etc etc. The goods are not only for sending to developing countries but all is available to local clubs for people in need.

Recently a club member from Cranbourne came across a young lady who was the sole carer for her father who was confined to a wheelchair. On a pension, looking after her family and paying a monthly fee for the current wheel chair, the family were becoming financially desperate. One phone call from the Cranbourne member to the DIK office and a replacement wheel chair has been provided.

Clubs and members are asked to continually be on the lookout for opportunities where schools, medical centres or businesses are replacing equipment.
