CAN MY CLUB BENEFIT?

Vision. Focus. Direction.
Most Rotarians would agree that when we have a plan it is easier to achieve our highest hopes and goals...

  • Planning is a project and time management technique. Planning is preparing a sequence of action steps to achieve some specific goal. If you do it effectively, you can reduce much the necessary time and effort of achieving the goal.
  • A plan is like a map. When following a plan, you can always see how much you have progressed towards your project goal and how far you are from your destination. Knowing where you are is essential for making good decisions on where to go or what to do next. (Time-Management-Guide.com)
Your Rotary club is invited to experience a Vision Facilitation Event  offered through District 7090.  This event is designed to help your Rotary club create its own unique vision and to discover how to achieve that vision. It is an important tool for growth and will be helpful whether your club has done Visioning a few years ago or is new to the process.

Within a timeframe of about 3 ½ hours and drawing on the talent and wisdom of your club members, the Club Visioning Event provides renewed focus on club objectives.  The event is facilitated by a well-trained neutral team of Rotary volunteers from clubs throughout the District. The facilitation team does not suggest or promote projects; rather it is designed to help your club bring out its best thinking.

This is not a strategic planning process; however relevant is identified that can be used to either review an existing club’s strategic plan or help in the development of such a plan. By the end of this process, your club will have a clear vision of the following:
  • What your club stands for in the community;
  • Your club’s target membership size in five years;
  • Identification of your club’s attributes;
  • Top 3-4 objectives for each avenue of service; and
  • Ways to improve your club’s leadership development.
