NEW MEMBER IN MICROFINANCE

In October, the Rotary E-Club of Southern Ontario – Western New York (SOWNY) welcomed its newest member: Enzo Martinelli, who is 2016-17 President and Chair of the Rotarian Action Group for Microfinance & Community Development (RAGM), from London, UK.

As a Charter Member and Past President of the E-Club of London Centenary, which was one of Rotary’s original pilot e-clubs, Enzo brings 10 years of active e-club experience to the E-Club of SOWNY.

Enzo Martinelli is an international development professional with more than 20 years of project management and fundraising experience in capacity-building projects in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe: feasibility, planning, fundraising, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with specific reference to economic and financial issues (small business development, micro-finance, commodity production and international trade), public health and social issues (reproductive health, children's rights, disability issues, human rights) and environmental protection.

Enzo adds to the E-Club of SOWNY’s existing microfinance expertise, which includes SOWNY Microfinance & Social Enterprise Chair Wendy Bodnoff (who is a Toronto International Microfinance Summit Director) and SOWNY President Gordon Crann (who was 2012-13 RAGM President & Chair).

After attending his first SOWNY Club Assembly, Enzo remarked: “I really loved the relaxed atmosphere and the young profile of the members, which is what I would expect in an e-club.”
