HELPING MEET FOOD SHORTAGES
The Rotary Club of Dunkirk identified four food pantries in their geographic area which run short of food each month...
Each of the four pantries: Cassadaga, Forestville, Silver Creek, and Dunkirk each received $1,000 to purchase additional food for its clients. Cassadaga Food Pantry serves 60 families in a community of 634. Forestville Food Pantry serves 100 families in a community of 697. Silver Creek Food Pantry serves 360 families in a community of 4,000. Dunkirk Food Pantry serves 150 families in a community of 12,563. In Dunkirk the “Food Express” program offers additional groceries to families each month. Members of the Dunkirk Rotary helped to handout groceries on a cold winter day.
