Bellaire/SW Rotarians Lift Spirits of Elderly With Generations Project

Bellaire/Southwest Houston Rotarians uplifted the spirits of elderly shut-ins at a recent party for nursing home residents at the ComForCare extended care facility in Bellaire. The event kicked off the club’s annual Project GENERATIONS, which decreases elder-isolation with personal visits, cards, flower deliveries, and small gifts throughout the year. Nan Wagoner of Wagoner Burgert Law Offices and Jesse Moreno of Advantage Funeral Home co-chaired the event.

Seniors enjoyed refreshments, goody bags, and conversation, as well as interacting with the pets brought to visit. Gifts included colorful neck pillows, stationery, sleep socks, and treats. It’s a great way to connect all ages within our community.
