Because of Plano East Rotary and the efforts of many people, an 80 year old Vet no longer needs to worry about dying of heat stroke in the middle of the night for lack of electricity and air conditioning or of getting a meal.  Another person has a wheelchair ramp to help them get in and out of their home. Women in Costa Rica have a new logo to launch their new ecotourism business (joint with the Denton Rotary Club/ Karen McDaniels) and a non-profit supporting girls education in Northern Tanzania is not being taken advantage of as it launches new marketing efforts.

Plano East Rotarians are actively engaging the community, veteran and first responder support organizations and the media, letting them know about its signature Plano Flags of Honor program (November 9-16, 2019) as well as the reason for it...to help veterans and first responders, like this 80 year old vet...To serve those whom have served us.

Want to honor a Veteran or a First Responder at the Plano Flags of Honor program? We also have Sponsorships, some as low as $100. Proceeds go to help those in need, while the event itself is also a Service, saying "thanks" as well as raising awareness and capturing stories so they are not lost to history. We'd love to get more Rotarians supporting this effort!
